Renewal is a celebratory study of the Rittenhouse Square’s most resilient residents: the great sycamores. As the city wakes to spring, these trees shed their winter layers to reveal a pristine, bone-white underbark—a visual metaphor for clarity and fresh beginnings. Utilizing a #0 bright brush and a thousand dots of passion, I have rendered the mottled texture of the trunk and the first "vibrating light" of new, translucent leaves.
