River of Clarity is a large-scale anchor piece within my Reflections series. It captures the profound transition of a New England autumn, where the summer rush gives way to the sharp, focused energy of the cooling season.
This work is a technical life study of color vibration. Utilizing a #0 bright brush to place a thousand dots of passion, I have woven a palette of Viridian, Cobalt, and Ultramarine Blue to build the river's depth. By contrasting these cool tones against the fiery oranges of the shoreline, I achieve an optical mixing that mimics the shimmering light of a late September afternoon.
Drawing from the structural precision of Seurat and the atmospheric restraint of Monet, this painting explores the river as a mirrored sanctuary. Finished with a hand-applied gold leaf edge, River of Clarity is a testament to the "Unfolding Grace" found when we stop to truly see the world—and ourselves—with precision and resolve.
