Celestial Echo 30” x 40”

Celestial Echo is an exploration of the mirrored world, where the boundaries between the sky and the shoreline dissolve. In this study, the expansive cloud architecture takes center stage—a soaring, atmospheric vault rendered through thousands of individual marks to capture the weight and "vibrating light" of a New England afternoon.

The foreground features the "Silent Persistence" of the lake’s edge, where the intricate silhouettes of trees and their reflections anchor the composition. Utilizing my signature #0 bright brush, I have deconstructed the clouds into a shimmering mosaic of Ultramarine, Viridian, and soft lavenders, allowing the viewer’s eye to perform the optical mixing that defines technical pointillism.

This piece continues my Life Study of Water, focusing on how the fluid surface serves as a canvas for the heavens above. Finished with a hand-applied gold leaf edge, Celestial Echo is a sovereign sanctuary of focus—a reminder that the vastness of the sky is always held within the stillness of the water.
