The Description: Ascension is a cornerstone of my Skydancer series, capturing the vertical reach of the forest canopy from a perspective of grounded wonder. This piece is a "Life Study" in aspiration—a rhythmic climb of branches navigating the space between the earth and the infinite sky.
In this work, the light is not just observed; it is embodied. Utilizing a #0 bright brush and a thousand dots of passion, I have deconstructed the canopy into a shimmering mosaic of color and metallic light. The leaves are rendered in gold powder pigment, allowing the painting to shift and breathe as the light in the room changes throughout the day.
This technical precision reflects the standard of Seurat, while the vibrant Ultramarine sky honors the palette of Monet. Finished with a hand-applied gold leaf edge, Ascension is more than a landscape; it is a visual prayer of resilience and the persistent pursuit of "Unfolding Grace."
